Frequently Asked Questions
How is the programme structured?
All our Transform programmes begin with a 60-minute initial consultation followed by a 90-minute Method consultation (a deep dive into the 4 pillars of the Method). Followed by weekly 30-45 minute appointments for your programme duration.
Will I need to eat only Parker Practice recipes?
No. You will be provided with Parker Practice recipes, tailored for you, during your programme for inspiration, however your dietitian will offer some guidance in how to adapt your family favourites and other recipes to support you in achieving your goals.
Do I need to be able to cook?
No. Your dietitian can provide you with some guidance if you are keen to learn how to cook however, the programmes are flexible and you will cover eating out, on the go and takeaways if this is your preferred approach.
What if I have allergies?
Your dietitian will help to tailor your programme to your food preferences with regards to allergies and intolerances.
Do you do intolerance testing?
No. Most food intolerance tests are highly unreliable. Your dietitian can guide you towards valid forms of testing if needed.
Does my programme end at 6 or 12 weeks?
No, not necessarily. We have on-going programmes available if you feel you need continued support. These are weekly, fortnightly, monthly and ad hoc programmes.
Can I pause my programme?
In exceptional circumstances, pauses in programmes will be considered.
What happens if I get ill or I fall pregnant?
We will discuss your individual circumstances with you to determine the most appropriate course of action.
What results/outcomes can I expect?
Our clients experience a range of outcomes by taking part in our programmes including weight loss, improved fitness levels, better sleep quality, improved overall wellbeing, increased energy levels and confidence.
Whilst there are no guarantees, our 2019 audit of our Transform 12 programme revealed that 94% of clients lost weight and 78% of our clients achieved >5% body weight loss. This is in addition to significant improvements across a range of health and wellbeing measures. The most powerful outcome of our programmes is that clients feel they have gained the skills, knowledge and tools they need to continue to embed their new healthy habits for life. Don’t diet, change!
Will I always have the same dietitian?
You will work with the same dietitian for your programme duration, however you may have the opportunity to work with other dietitians within the team if your usual dietitian is on leave to maintain weekly continuity of your programme.
What if the programme isn't right for me?
All our programmes are non-refundable apart from during exceptional circumstances. We would recommend arranging a complimentary Lifestyle Consultation with one of our team or speaking with our Operations Team to find out more about our programmes before signing up.
How does personal training work?
During your programme, you may opt to work with one of our expert Personal Trainers in-person (depending on your location) or virtually. As part of your programme you will also be supported by your dietitian to increase your physical activity levels and will have access to our workout videos and exercise resources.
Will all appointments be in-person or remote?
We are able to accommodate both in-person and virtual consultations depending on your preference.
What happens if I go on holiday?
We recommend keeping up with the weekly continuity during your programme, even if this means you are on holiday! Holidays are part of life and we’d encourage you to continue to go on them. We will be there to support you as you navigate making change whilst away from your usual routine.

Can I do a programme with Louise Parker herself?
Our programmes are typically delivered by our expert registered dietitians. Those with the most demanding lifestyles can work with Louise Parker directly. Please enquire if you are interested.
What do I get as part of my programme?
The focus on your programme is your 1:1 consultations. You’ll also receive access to the Parker Practice App, your programme handbook tailored to you by your dietitian following your initial consultation, our recipe handbook, workout videos and additional resources as you need.
Is this way of eating compatible with family life?
Yes! The Parker Method is a fad-free approach to nutrition and includes all food groups. Your dietitian will help make the programme work for your family’s lifestyle.
